I must say, it is often difficult to sift through the piles of mediocre, rehashed slosh that gets released these days but once in a while you find a gem that makes it all worth it. Eric McFadden is a uniquely gifted guitarist and songwriter. Though I am aware that Eric plays with various ensembles, I personally enjoy hearing him in this context, just him and an acoustic guitar delivering everything from dark voodoo blues to folk and flamenco. This cd is for real music appreciators- Jojo from the bay area
