SIMPLY AWESOME HOUSE MUSIC.......2003-12-04
there are many good artists out there which no one knows about. and nightcrawlers is one of them. nightcrawlers are just awesome they produce awesome music which sounds stunning. my personal favourite has to be Push The Felling On this track is just simpley stunning the lyrics just sound awesome and the beat line is unbeliable. i recommend people trying this album out trust me you wont be disapointed.

Nice Little Package.......2000-09-01
This is the maxi-single for Static-X's "Push It", the first single off their debut album. It has the album version of the song, two remixes, plus a live version of "Bled for Days" and an unreleased track entitled "Down". Also included is an enhanced portion, with some neat videos. Here's a review for the individual tracks:
1) Push It - 5/5 Awesome song, great riffs, everything.
2) Bled For Days (Live) - 5/5 Good song, sounds exactly like the album version, except of course it's live (people clapping, etc.).
3) Push It (JB's Death Trance Mix) - 3/5 This is an okay remix, but I don't like the sound it gave to the song. Imagine the original version of the song, with added dance beats and lots of keyboard effects.
4) Down (Unreleased) - 4/5 This song is cool, however it sounds a lot like "Push It". Still a good track, nonetheless.
5) Push It (Mephisto Odyssey Remix) - 5/5 This is an awesome remix of "Push It". It gives the song a drum 'n bass feel to it, it sounds great. It's a little long though, about 6 and a half minutes to be exact.
Lastly, there's the enhanced portion. It has live footage of the band performing "Bled for Days", plus the video for "Push It".
Overall, this is a nice little package, and it's a good buy for those who either just like the song "Push It" and don't feel like getting the album, or for die-hard Static-X fans that want to get it in terms of collecting.
What happened to the good remixes!.......2000-07-24
I love the song "push it" but the remixes are not that great if great at all. The unrealeased track sounds a lot like push it, but its all good. "Bled for days" live, whats up with that its the same as the original version except there are stupid people claping and screaming yeah yeah yeah... Well This single is not that expensive and it was mostly good so go out and buy this baby. Oh this also has the video to "push it".
I Enjoy the Enhanced Portion.......2000-06-09
When I put this on, I usually don't go for the remixes, actually, almost never. I put it on to watch the videos. I think Push It is a great song, and the video is partially funny, with Static Man (the clay guy) running around, but the part with Wayne singing and the band playing is even better. I enjoyed seeing them live both times, and the Bled For Days part is a huge treat. Really cool footage. If you're low on cash and you want some new music or a new video, pick this up. It'll be in your CD-ROM for a long time.
Good Single.......2000-06-04
This single is really more then the average single. It has five tracks total (Push it, Push it (remix), Push it (diff remix), Bled for Days (live), and Down (non-album song). The two remixes are pretty good, although i think the first is the better of the two. Bled for days live is alright, and Down, which is really a demo and not a new song, is awesome. They also have push it and a live recording of bled for days videos for your comp encoded in the cd. All in all, a must have for static-x fans. Static-X has a new song on the "Negativity in Black 2: A tribute to black sabbath" album. Make sure to check that out. peace.
This Will Make Your Ears Bleed For Days.......2000-04-24
This Cd from Static-X is a real ear full! The best track on their would have to be the live version of Bled for days. The CD is enhanced so plug'er into your comp to make sure you get your money's worth. Not the greatest Cd but good for true fans like myself. Also an unreleased track so look for that. Good effort but expected more from these metal-gods!

An excellent exploration of Arlen.......1999-07-20
Julie Wilson offers another masterclass performance of songs by Harold Arlen with his numerous lyricists. Arlen's name is not as well known as some of his contemporaries, but his talents as a songwriter were magnificent. Julie Wilson and William Roy mine the Arlen songbook to produce an album of sterling quality, delivering delightful duets on such gems as 'Push De Button' and 'Lydia The Tattooed Lady'. Wilson offers brilliant readings of ballads and rhythm songs, capturing the mood and flavour of each song perfectly. Her sensuous take on 'Last Night When We Were Young' is particularly compelling. Roy's piano embellishments are, as ever, full of wit, sensitivity and formidable musicianship. A stunning offering.

Is there no shortage to great songs? Not when Shirley Manson is singing. I usually don't buy singles, but I was convinced to buy this one. Man, am I glad I did! Okay, the only problem I had with it was the third song, the remix of "Push It". That just wasn't my thing. Other than that, ANOTHER GREAT JOB, SHIRLEY! LOVE YA!

I love zap mama, but..........2007-03-30
this ep was not that impressive. it was just "OK". it is already on the bottom of my cd stack. so sad that any zap mama album made it there.

I'm a big fan of Zap Mama ---- however, I sometimes wish their tracks could go a bit faster -- this album takes care of that, giving some bigger beats behind their beautiful vocals, in addition to some guest vocals that really add a beautiful harmony to the entire track
At the very least, this album is worth it only for the beautiful song POETRY MAN ---- this might be one of the most beautiful songs ever made within our modern times
Give Zap Mama a spin and take in the beautiful beats that can relax a soul and put one back into ease
A Re-Mix Album Worth Buying.......2004-12-22
I've never been particularly fond of re-mix albums. They are often very gimmicky and add little to the original studio recordings. Fortunately, that is not the case here.
PUSH IT TO THE MAX is a seven track EP of five songs. Two re-mixes of "Mr. Brown" from Zap Mama's SABSYLMA album are particularly intrigiung. The original version was an a capella tribute to James Brown that takes you back to the African motherland. Since Brown's music has been heavily sampled by hip-hop artists, it is not surprising that "Mr. Brown" gets a hip-hop treatment here on the Chris Cuben mix. However, an alternate ambient mix is more distinctive.
The EP also features a double dose of "Nostalgie Amoureuse." The first re-mix called the "Push It To The Max Bootleg" and is very uptempo and danceable. The DJ Wally mix maintains the slower and moodier sound of the original recording. "Nostalgie Amoureuse" was one of the most emotionally moving tracks from Zap Mama's 7 album with the possible expection of "Poetry Man." The latter is also featured here with a refreshingly subdued re-mix. The last minute of the track is very mellow.
Rounding out the CD are "Bottom" (originally from ADVENTURES IN AFROPEA) and "Ça Varie Varie" (which would find its way to ANCESTRY IN PROGRESS later).
Overall, PUSH IT TO THE MAX is a decent re-mix set. Unless you're in a dancing mood, you might still want to go back to the original versions.
Pushed over the edge.......2002-06-27
I was quite surprised by this CD though I was hasitant to buy it at first. The reason, it only has 7 songs with a total runing time of 36.21 minutes. Song 1 "Nostalgie Amoureuse and song 5 "Poetry Man" were familiar to me (but with new arrangments). Both are featured on the 1997 Zap Mama release "Seven". All I can really say overall about this CD is that I can do some sho nuff dancing to it. It is very energetic and upbeat.
The biggest surprise on the CD is song 3 "Mr. Brown" written by Marie Daulne. "Funky, real Funky is Mr. Brown. The CD is worth it for this song along. If I'm gleaming from the lyrics correctly, Mr. Brown is accapella, which is extrodinary, but not suprising with Ms Daulne being the musicologist/anthropologist that she is.

Decent!.......2006-04-01
This is a wonderfully dark and bassy dance cover of Salt N' Pepa's "Push It". It's really just the sexy breathing with "Push it, ahh, push it real good" thrown in for good measure. This is set to Benny Benassi-like chunky electro-basslines to create a highly energetic track that is likely to get any ass shakin. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of variety in the mixes, docking this single from a great 5 star review.

Starting off with an edgy, slammin' 11 minute cover of Christopher Cross's Ride Like The Wind" was astounding. Peakin has a lyrical and melody sample that is a resigning of "Big Love" by Fleetwood Mac. Theirs some fierce diva vocal with attitude,and surprisingly, the lectroluv mix of Jocelyn Enriquez "When I Get Close to you' was selected over the Thunderpuss mix, which is a nice change, considering it is equally as driving. "At The Club" by SM Trax is a rip off of their own club hit "got the groove." Things get a little dubby from there, until Music for the Masses comes on, and it's a cheesy hiNRG track which sort of ruined the mix for me. The tracks after that lighten up somewhat, ending on a high, up note (I prefer the first half of the disc). The track times are:

If you have been searching for an all-time hardcore punk rock cd! THIS IS DEFFINATLY ITt. they rock out soo good. nice fast rockin punk. Theres other cds but if you want an excellent up beat cd. and I mean this whole cd is upbeat .alot have a few slow or cornyish songs but not this one.check them out
