    The Lucky Ones is a diverse collection of songs using storytelling to paint fourteen unique pictures for the listener. The title song is a ballad based on Bacon's personal experience of adopting a 3-year old girl from Russia. It is followed by the tongue-in-cheek "Stop Checkin' Out My Daughter", a rocker that was written for his older daughter. The songs are carried out perfectly by the band, Bacon's Rebellion.

    You will enjoy every song on this disc. Pat's music combines excellent musicianship with creative songwriting. Accoustic guitar enthusiasts and those who just like good stories will appreciate Pat's work.

    It is well known in music circles that Bob Dylan and
    Warren Zevon greatly admired each other's work.
    Had Warren survived and had they collaborated, the result
    probably would have sounded alot like this.

    Bacon hails from Dylan's home state. He blends
    Dylanish melodic folk rhythms with Zevon's evocative
    and often hilarious lyrical style.

    This CD is a real gem. Thank me later,
