Beautiful Californian Failure was inspired by the melodic music of the 60's and 70's. This self-produced record is as much a series of moments as it is a collection of songs, each one reflecting the intimacies, the promises, and the traumas that have afflicted lovers since love began. The 13 tracks (including covers by TRex and Sam Cooke) are as variable as the Beatles' White Album instead of a bundle of shameful sameness common today. It's a Pop redemption record.
