Customer Review:
Great Book
My expectations were high when I ordered this book and I was not disappointed. It covers all the basic topics in Astronomy in an understandable and exciting way (coordinate systems, observation, radiation, motion in gravitational fields, solar system, stars, compact objects, cosmology,..). The mathematics in this book is fairly moderate: an understanding of basic algebra and calculus is enough to follow the text and solve the problems (which include detailed solutions). Everybody who is interested in Astronomy should have this book!
