By standardizing on the Versa SXi, you can satisfy the majority of your company's notebook computing needs with a system that has a solid history behind it. The NEC Versa SXi has the power to easily manage most applications, boasts the multimedia features demanded by presenters, offers the convenience of a modular bay and is compact enough for highly mobile workers.This notebook's power source is a Pentium III processor featuring Intel SpeedStep technology, which can help to conserve the life of the lithium ion battery. The big active-matrix color display - 14.1" with XGA resolution - and ATI Mobility-M graphics accelerator provide clear, crisp viewing. Versatility is offered by the VersaBay III slot, a handy modular bay that allows users to keep travel weight to a minimum by packing only the drives they'll need. The notebook comes with hot-swappable diskette and optical drives. Additional, optional drives are available for a total of six in all. As for connectivity, the Versa SXi comes equipped with RJ-11 modem and RJ-45 network jacks along with your choice of integrated Mini PCI solutions: a V.90 modem or a combination V.90 modem and 10/100 LAN.
